That's why our MELONE SZECHUAN • PET NAT will only be brewed once a year starting this summer – whenever melons reach their seasonal peak.

Perhaps some of you remember the drink by its original name MELON BUZZ. The name has changed, but the idea behind it remains the same: the fruity sweetness of ripe melons, balanced by fine acidity, natural fermentation, and the subtle spice of Szechuan pepper.

Over time, however, it became increasingly clear that melons do not behave the same way all year round. Depending on the season, they differ in sweetness, aroma, and character. This is exactly what makes them exciting – but it also means that our usual flavor profile cannot be reproduced permanently without compromising on quality.

And that's exactly what we don't want.

Instead of adapting the recipe to the fruit, we adapt our production to nature.

In the future, MELONE SZECHUAN PET NAT will only be brewed in summer – with melons that have reached their peak flavor. This preserves the character of the drink: fresh, lively, and complex.

Each vintage is consciously produced in small quantities. Once sold out, MELONE SZECHUAN PET NAT will only return with the harvest of the next summer.
